Martin's books have been amazing. I think the Game of Thrones series on HBO has also been a big hit because of Martin's involvement in it.

Hal Jordan telling the new rookie tall
(and highly disjointed) tales was a stretch. Especially when they
were prompted by random lanterns floating by. We would have preferred
a dedicated story, especially after Green Lantern First Flight.

I've been reading way too much overreaction about the supposed
"darkness" of the trailer.. I don't think so. The masses should stop
their whining -- if it's too dark for you, set up right the brightness
and contrast of your screen -- or maybe you still have some 3D glasses
on, who knows

Garfield was undoubtedly the best choice, what a fantastic shout.

I dunno man, it's such a cheap way of conveying the height and momentum of the character. It's something they would have done in the 2000's, in fact I'm surprised Rami didn't try it.

Overall this looks pretty cool. I reckon Garfield was far and away the best casting choice they could have made.
I have to disagree with you though Josh mate. Providing they sort the CGI out I think those first person shots could be pretty cool. A nice little change to the formula.

The problem with MARVEL they do a good job then ruin it, Hensleigh and France need to be called back to write and produce, also Thomas must reprise the role. There should be continuity with the 2004 version, also a descent budget minimum of 50Million to 70Million, this time in NYC and yes introduce Lieberman.
